A History of the World in 6 Glasses

I've heard this book suggested by a number of people. I'm a sucker for these types of books. I think it will be really interesting.

A fun book highlighting historical shifts caused by 6 drinks (beer, wine, spirits, coffee, tea, Coca-Cola). Warning: this book makes you very thirsty.

My favorite anecdote was about the Soviet military leader Zhukov who had a soft spot for soft drinks, which were frowned upon by Soviet leadership. Truman and Coca-Cola made it possible to ship colorless Coca-Cola in Soviet star embossed bottles so that it appeared like he was drinking Vodka instead of Coke.
