The Advent of the Lamb of God

Russ Ramsey is my pastor and I've wanted to read this Advent series for a while.

So good. A retelling of the stories of the Bible in a narrative arc tying the pieces together. It is beautifully written.

I loved some of the turn of phrases Russ used:

True Tall Tale Barren Beauty The story of creation - one of imagination and image. Man created in God's image. The rest of creation from God's imagination.

I used to travel quite a bit for work. Oftentimes, the colleagues I visited would take me to the highest point of their city to get a lay of the land. This book is like that. It's a 10,000 ft view of the narrative arc passing through the 66 books of the Bible.
