Library / The Seven Storey Mountain

Joel Tomlin, owner of Landmark Booksellers, has recommended this book to me often.
This was such a good book. I expected it to be solely about his life as a monk, but the first half of the book is about his early life where he partied, went to college, and deeply considered his vocation. The first half of the book was quite interesting in that it'd contain a lot of mundane material about daily life and then Thomas Merton would work in this paragraph of just incredible insight. That was quite fun.
