The Three Theban Plays

I love the Robert Fagles / Bernard Knox combo and will read any translation / notes selection they publish.

I read a few different translations of Sophocles' Theban Plays and if I need to go back to read or reference one of the copies, this will be the one I choose. I love Bernard Knox's intros and notes and learned a lot from them in The Three Theban Plays. I also find Robert Fagles' translations to be easy to understand and modern in tone. The translations don't get in the way.

These three plays are so amazing and memorable. I hope to revisit them in later years.
