This is the translation suggested for the Catherine Project reading group I was a part of in May 2024.
I read three different translations of The Theban Plays. I got the most from the introduction in this one. Peter Meineck is a specialist in Greek Drama and his insights were very helpful. Paul Woodruff wrote most of the introduction and I loved how it was structured and the ideas he shared. He even made the introduction personal, sharing which plays he liked the most, first reactions, etc.
