My Thoughts
I really enjoyed The Analects. I started by reading straight through Confucius’ Analects and then turned back to the translator’s introduction. I had a number of questions while reading the sayings of Confucius that were then answered in the introduction, including what terms like ritual, Gentlemen, and goodness meant. I will not read a second translation.
