Library / Guides / King Arthur reading list
Library guide
There is no single book where the Arthurian legends begin. They accumulate across histories, romances, Malory’s prose, and later retellings. If the stories are new to you, start with Roger Lancelyn Green’s short King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table, then use that foundation for the longer works. This page links the editions already on the Books of Titans shelf.
A short, clear pass through the main stories before the longer and contradictory tellings.
The famous prose collection of the knights and the kingdom, drawn from French and English material.
Later poems and related tellings the library already has. Earlier sources such as Geoffrey of Monmouth and Chrétien de Troyes sit behind these stories; they are not separate book pages here.
These hubs are in the 200 authors list. The library does not yet have a separate edition page for either work.
